Morning Writing Ritual

How do you start your mornings? Perhaps, just like me, you check your email, read RSS, Google Alerts and so on… Guess what, by doing this we are missing the most productive part of the day for bloggers, early morning.

Routine and rituals are essential to productivity. One of the most productive persons that I know (who has managed to cross the Atlantic Ocean on a boat alone) has a day job, a night job, has written 5 books…

Bia, I am amazed at how people can actually do it!

Michael - Great article. I had it all backwards until one morning I decided NOT to check my emails, my RSS feeds, etc. because I was under a deadline to get some articles written. I still had the urge to see ‘what was what’, but kept on writing. It’s now a daily habit (yes, after the toast and coffee) and I’m amazed at how less stressed I am. The other stuff can wait. Thanks for publishing an article that reaffirms my actions. Keep up the good work.

Hi,
This is a good post. This is the stuff I was actually looking for.

I have a question though – Frequent number of times I have got a warning as “spam” when I try bookmarking on sites like dig.com or muti.com.

I don’t have any spam pages or websites.

Any idea why do I meet with all these?

Thanks.
